Policies

          Hours of Operation

         Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    Payment

       My fee is:
Infants $750.00 a month
Toddlers (up to 30 months) $700.00 a month
Preschoolers $615.00 a month
Kindergarten $495.00 a month
School age children (grade one to age twelve) $375.00 a month
Summer time fee for school age children is $525.00 a month

Drop in or part time fees are:
$45.00 a day for infants and toddlers (up to 30 months)
$35.00 a day for preschoolers and kindergarteners
$25.00 a day for school age children

*Over 90 hours a subsidy will be given if you qualify *

       Child management

        My goal is to help children develop their own self-control. My limits will be reasonable and gentle reminders with explanation will be given first. If a child's behavior is inappropriate, s/he will be asked to excuse themselves with a quiet activity away from others. Time outs will be used as a cooling off period only as a last result and only for a few moments of time with the child in view. Unacceptable behaviors will then be discussed and no hard feelings will be held. I respect all children's feeling and allowances will be made when a child is hungry or tired, or just having a “bad day“.
Ongoing problems are discussed with parents and an agreeable solution will be made.

PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL PUNISHMENT WILL NOT BE USED.

    Safety and Hygiene

       Myself and my husband have First Aid and CPR. We have a First Aid kit in house and a small one is taken on all outings, also we carry our cell phone on all outings. All food, medical or other allergies will be posted (If one child has a nut allergy no nuts or nut products will be served when that child is present). All children will be required to wash their hands after using the toilet and before all snacks and meals. Food will be prepared following Foodsafe standards.

Other

Proper clothing is required for summer and winter. Summer hats, sunscreen, swimsuits etc. Winter hats, gloves, boots, snowsuits etc. Any food, drink or treats must be given to me to disburse in case of other children's allergies I celebrate every child's birthday I limit TV to less than one hour or on special occasions or rainy days one movie. TV shows will be age appropriate and educational (exceptions of movies which will be Disney or like programming)

Visiting

Parents are welcome to come to our daycare at any time during the day. Dropping off and picking up your child will be when most information concerning your child/ren will be discussed, please ensure that you allow enough time to do so.

Conclusion

Open communication is an essential part of your childcare arrangement. If you have any concerns, questions or suggestions I encourage you to come and talk to me about them. I assure you that confidentiality and a high standard of professionalism will be maintained at all times.

* Subsidy is given to those families who qualify If you are a working parent with a child and
A) receive a gross income of less than (**$1640.00) per month per family,
B) attend classes,
C) are looking for employment,
D) or have special medical or social needs in your family; YOU can qualify for a Child Care Subsidy from $275.00 - $485.00 per month per child in a government licensed Child Care Home.
**Please note subsidy rates have changed as of September 2006 so this is the old gross income rate and I am not familiar with the new one.
The maximum portions of full subsidy effective September 1st 2006 are: $485.00 a month for infants $440.00 a month for toddlers up to 30 months $405.00 a month for preschoolers $365.00 a month for kindergarten $275.00 a month for school age $385.00 a month for school age in the months of July and August (Subsidy decreases $5.00 for every $20.00 over the gross income) (90 hours a month attendance is required to receive full subsidy)
